While the US Civil War (1861-1865), the most horrific conflict in the history of the Union of America, waged between the Democratic and Republican Parties, which killed more military personnel than all of its wars combined, ended as a “hot”, the subsequent “cold” one continues to dangerously rage, whereby the outcome of the which is yet to be determined.

Given all of its foreign and domestic threats, including economic and societal, the only way in which the Union of the United States is saved, is the Lincoln Factor

In the Gettysburg Address, President Abraham Lincoln solemnly admonished and warned that it was imperative that “us the living” ensure that this republican, Union of We the People “nation under GOD…shall not perish from the earth.” See Admonition and Warning

In order to fulfill that admonition, Lincoln cries out to “be dedicated here to the unfinished work…the great task remaining before us…that cause for which they”, the circa 740,000, young, innocent white boys and men plus 38,000 blacks “gave the last full measure of devotion.”  They were killed by one another.

Lincoln charges that we are to be “highly resolved that these dead shall not have died in vain”, which means that the Union must complete “that cause” that is “thus far so nobly advanced” by their sacrificed lives.

“That cause”
In respect to the mandates of the Declaration of Independence, the Republican Union elected itself to take responsibility of its British inherited, chattel slavery “wound” in two phase mission, the first, ending the peculiar institution; and secondly, ensuring experiential, “equal justice-protection under the law”, US citizenship “as is enjoyed by white citizens”.

The second phase of the Union’s mission for which 740,000+ “gave their lives that the nation might live” is yet to be accomplished, which is, the only US citizenship that is granted to the freed chattel slaver, Freemen, refugees, colored people, negroes-black lives and their descendant children, by the right of birth.

This Birthright Citizenship is authorized by Section 1 of the 1868 Civil Rights Act, the Progenitor and “Rosetta Stone” (interpreter, as mother knows her own child) of the 14th Amendment by which it is codified into the Constitution.

This is the sacred National Birth Certificate and Identity Rights of the freed chattel slaves, et al, purchased by the 740,000+ with their blood, suffering and lives.

It is imperative that the truth of the matter between white and black lives be resolved accordingly and equitably, lest our “one nation under GOD” be dissolved, thereby making the rendering “these honored dead…have died in vain”.

Like it or not, “that cause” for our imperfect Union to be “a house divided against itself”, for which the 740,000+ suffered, has apparently fallen into the bosom of our present generation of We the People to resolve, preventing it from passing to the succeeding generations. GOD, the Central Figure of the Declaration of Independence has granted for the healing our national, collective, and generational, conjoined twin, mutually inherited “wound”, the command to practice apology and forgiveness.
